Secret Mix #1 - August 2010
August 18, 2010 04:26 PM PDT
This set is a step from the norm for me. It features a stronger use of melodic elements as well as vocals, wrapped into a one-take session. As I was mixing I was thinking of a sunset (since the sun was setting at the time) and trying to touch on elements that you may not get to experience during my live shows. This mix was dubbed from it's original cassette which was recorded live in 1997, featuring selections from 1985-1992. The quality is pretty good but there's bits that definitely sound dubby. This promotional cd was compiled to demonstrate the variety of genres that I sometimes play. I'm prominently known for a combination of party breaks, dubstep, and bassline electro house but this mix catches some of my progressive house & trance that I have played in nightclubs as well as hard techno which I play at raves that cater to more hardcore crowds. NOTE: Look for a new promo mix by March 2010. Carl Roda & Baldomer – Jade (Marc Fisher Remix)
